Carol Snyder began developing her love of creating and lettering as a young girl growing up in New Jersey, as evidenced by this B&W photo of her at 7 years old with a “Trace & Color” box under her arm. Since discovering calligraphy in the 9th grade, she has loved pens, paper, inks, markers & all things wonderful that can be created with them! Throughout her life, Carol has enjoyed creating with her hands, as she learned cross stitch, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, tatting, needlepoint (from her mother), photography (from her father), tole painting, stamping, genealogy, scrapbooking, cooking, baking, cake decorating, calligraphy, and of course, Creative Lettering!
Carol feels it a privilege to have worked, learned, taught & shared in the crafting world for 25+ years. Each of the variety of markers in the ZIG Memory System have the characteristics of Pigment Ink, Acid-free, Archival Quality, Lightfast, Fade Proof, and Non-bleeding – which makes them perfect for all your creative needs. Carol has written the “Creating Letters, Borders & Doodles” booklet series, “Oodles & Oodles of Letters & Doodles”, and “Circle Fun”, along with chapters on fonts, lettering styles and scrapbook pages in a variety of national magazines and publications. She appeared regularly on several PBS network DIY crafting series, and as a guest presenter on QVC Craft shows. Carol continues to be passionate about exploring and sharing the potential of all the Kuretake ZIG pens, markers and creative products.
Carol’s favorite roles and greatest blessings, however, come from being married to her sweetheart, Steve (41+ years) and raising (& being raised by) 4 incredibly talented children, their spouses & 13 adorable grandchildren.
